an interview with you ;
This weeks interview is with Ayesha Shahid @home.with.lily
The most incredible gift; a home from her husband. Tradition and culture for Ayesha meant moving to the place that her husband was from; their 1930’s house in Bedfordshire was already owned by her husband, Ayesha has made her beautiful interior mark on the property, now home to the both of them and their two little Princess Ayah Alayna & Noura Ava.
“A home to me is having beautiful pieces styled from room to room. I love styling each room with Beautiful faux flowers, cushions etc. As long as I love them that’s all that matters and that makes my house a home” - Ayesha
Where do you find your inspiration?
Most definitely from beautiful home accounts on instagram. There are so many of my favourite accounts I get so much inspiration, from styling pieces to how to style and not forgetting gorgeous small businesses.
Your favourite home purchase?
Where do I begin! I have so many lovely pieces I have collected from many of my favourite places but I would have to say ALL my Neptune Home Pieces I absolutely love them all oh and not forgetting my vase collection
Worst home decision / purchase?
I actually don’t have one! I usually take time to look around and really invest in quality pieces which will last me a lifetime!
Where did you first hear about Alterme Home?
Instagram! Lots of beautiful accounts shared your gorgeous account which totally had me obsessed & now it’s my go to for soft furnishings
Ayesha’s Favourite piece(s) from our collection;
Just for fun… we asked Ayesha if she was a cushion from our range which one would she be?
That’s a tough one as they are all so stunning - but I think Lydia cushion! The white backdrop with hints of green florals is just me!
Ayesha’s gift from her husband; a beautiful home, which she has styled to perfection - we love that Ayesha takes the time to invest in pieces that are right and that she loves, meaning she has no regrets on purchases - a great way to curate a home you love. We also love that it was her tradition and culture which lead her to where she now lives. If you’d like to take a peak inside and follow Ayesha’s home journey click here @home.with.lily
Beautiful calming neutrals provide comfort and calm in this beautiful bedroom, and our Rosie cushions work perfectly here.
Beautiful foliage creating contrast against the white panelling in Ayesha’s dining area, we love the styling of our Bethany cushion here to tie in with the foliage.
