an interview with you ;
This weeks interview is with Lucy Kempster (@willowhearthome)
Life in Torquay (Devon) Lucy, husband Paul, two son’s Ben recent business & marketing graduate & Joe first year criminology student & their “pretty well behaved” smooth haired Cockapoo Tilly, have lived in 10 homes throughout the years; spending time in Berkshire / Whiltshire, however have now found themselves living back in Torquay.
Their idyllic home; a large 5 bedroom Edwardian property, overlooks the Torquay bay. They moved here in October 2020 after falling in love with it on regular dog walks. Lucy & Paul have completely renovated their home including adding a new kitchen & bathrooms!
“The people inside make the house a proper home. My family are my everything and the house is our little bit of heaven on sea.” - Lucy
Your favourite home purchase?
My favourite home purchase has to be my lovely recycled blue chest of drawers in the lounge, a complete bargain from Facebook Marketplace.
Worst home decision / purchase?
My worst home purchase would have to be the floor tiles in our last house. They looked great but were totally impractical .
Where did you first hear about Alterme Home?
I stumbled across Alterme on Instagram after spotting gorgeous cushions in other influencers posts. I fell in love with your collection and thought they would be perfect for our newly decorated and
extended lounge. Being huge fan of neutral decor I opted for your Ashton in Greige and the Charles stripe, but have my eye on a few more of your gorgeous designs.
Just for fun… we asked Lucy if she was a cushion from our range which one would she be?
If I was to be one of your cushions it would be ‘Set Sail” (which I currently have my eye on) as I’m most at home near the sea/on the water in the sunshine!
Lucy & Pauls home sounds beautiful and the description ‘our little bit of heaven on sea’ sounds like they live in a wonderful place! Their home and styling is beautiful and you can see the coastal influence spans throughout the property with lots of earthy neutral and soft blue tones. If you’d like to take a peak inside Lucy’s family home you can follow her journey here @willowhearthome
Lucy’s favourite piece of furniture (above) a chest she found on facebook market place & upcycled - we agree it is very beautiful and are big fans of Facebook market place ourselves!!
Tilly the flat coat cockerpoo looking very content here! We also love dogs and love seeing all of your furry companions!
